There are so many elements to the film worth discussing in detail, but sadly they could ruin the experience for those reading that haven’t seen it. The Last Exorcism is a film that begs to be discussed after seeing, and because of that the film succeeds. It carries a polarizing yet marginally haunting final few minutes, that’s partly silly but also terrifying, and in a year where horror films are struggling for air, this comes along and gives the genre new breath.
